After Care Centre
We have a fully functional after care centre, were we make sure that your child’s homework, tasks and studies are done correctly. Our after care centre is open for your convenience during the school term and school holidays.
BASIC PROGRAM FOR THE AFTERNOON IS AS FOLLOWS:
13H30 – 14H00 LUNCH (own lunch or food package)
14H00 – 16H30 HOME WORK / ASSIGNMENTS / STUDIES
16H30 – 17H30 PLAYTIME / RELAX
PARENTS FETCH LEARNERS NOT LATER THAN 17:30
NB: We adjust our program to accommodate learners’ unique situations. If learners have
a lot of home work, tasks and studies, play time and relaxing time will be less.
SCHOOL HOLIDAYS:
After care is closed during the 3 weeks of the December / January holiday. Holiday program will be followed. Learners must please eat breakfast at home. Please bring extra snack and cold drink or water if required.
ASSIGNMENTS & STUDIES
Homework
We work hard with learners doing their home work, tasks and studies. We also help with research for tasks. Supervised internet and printing access available.
Every Thursday we write a test in learners’ “Ambulanté After Care” book. This includes spelling tests, table tests, math tests and revision tests.
According to the dictionary Ambulanté means "being able or strong enough to walk".
In French and Latin “Ambulanté” means “able or strong enough to walk”. A beautiful example of someone who is “Ambulante” is a young child who has just learned to walk. We believe everyone can “learn to walk” if they have the right support system and guidance. We are passionate about children and we believe that every
child must be treated respectfully and with care.
Ambulanté uses the CAPS Syllabus.
